Do you remember Sweet Sue's story? What were the bank robbers doing? They were asking for directions. What was Sweet Sue doing? She was giving directions.

1) Prepositions of place

Mivel az útmutatáshoz meg kell mondanunk helyek, épületek pontos helyét, ezért használnunk kell helyhatározó prepozíciókat (pl.: The bank is next to the police station. The post office is between the town hall and the courthouse.).
Ismételjük át a helyhatározó elöljárószavakat (prepositions of place) és jelentésüket az alábbi képpel:

Follow the routes from the story and find the bank and the post office on the map.

• Bank:
  Go along this street. There’s a supermarket on the right. Go past the supermarket and take the first turning on the left. There’s a bank on the right. It’s on the corner, next to the police station.
  
• Post office:
  It’s on the other side of the canal. Turn right at the traffic lights. Go along that road till you come to a roundabout. Go straight on at the roundabout and over a bridge. The post office is on the left. It’s between the courthouse and the town hall – opposite the prison.
